Please be informed that a Competition is open for the award of up to 10 PhD Scholarships (BD) for the school year 2022/2023 under the Carnegie Mellon Portugal Program (CMU Portugal), taking place in Portugal and cmu.

The scholarships will be awarded under the Dual Degree Doctoral Programs of the CMU Portugal Program. The research areas and deadlines for applications are:

o Informática - December 9, 2021 (11:59 a.m., EST)

o Electrical and Computer Engineering - December 31, 2021 (11:59 a.m., EST)

o Engineering and Public Policy - December 15, 2021 (11:59 .m., EST)

o Person-Machine Interaction - December 9, 2021 (11:59 a.m., EST)

o Spoken Language Technologies - December 9, 2021 (11:59 a.m., EST)

o Robotics - December 9, 2021 (11:59 a.m., EST)

o Software Engineering - December 9, 2021 (11:59 a.m., EST)

Each applicant may submit only one application to the same doctoral program, under penalty of cancellation of all applications submitted.

The funding lasts for one year, possibly renewable up to a maximum of five years, of which two years will be spent at cmu and three years at the partner university in Portugal. The start date of the exchange will be September 2022.

Applications are submitted directly to the CMU, through the respective page of each doctoral program.

The scholarship will only be granted if the candidates demonstrate that they have been accepted by the CMU and a Portuguese University in one of the doctoral programs associated with the double degrees of the CMU Portugal program.
